Ivan Furyk enlisted in the Australian army at 17 years of age. Two weeks before his 18th birthday he found himself standing guard on the docks of Vung Tau in South Vietnam, guarding ammunition and provisions being off loaded from the HMAS Sydney. After leaving the army he spent the next thirty-two years in the jewellery industry. Most of which were in his own importing and retail business. He has written two novels in the Ferris M. series, a third on the way.
